Although a “late bloomer,” Alice obtained a bachelor’s degree from Rockmont College and a master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado. She spent over 25 years in the library field—from the solitude of cataloging, to the austere aisles of a research library, and finally a boisterous children’s library.

With a career change, Alice taught research, composition, ESL, and literature to college and university students throughout Colorado.

Current projects include finishing a children’s novel–the third in a series for Young  Adult readers. Writing includes song lyrics (Call My Name/Scheideman), a one-person show, which adapts Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea, and various poems and essays.

A Colorado native, Alice writes and lives in Northern Colorado with her cats (Charlotte and Emily) and dog (Harper).
